Day 1-2

Perth

Suggested Stay: Parkroyal Perth

Highlights: Rottnest Island Day Trip

Start your adventure in vibrant Perth, Western Australia’s sun-soaked capital. Spend your first two days exploring city highlights before taking a day trip to Rottnest Island.

Rottnest Island activities: Return ferry from Hillarys with Rottnest Fast Ferries, Grand Island Tour of Rottnest including quokka spotting, Snorkelling at The Basin or Pinky Beach and Explore Wadjemup Lighthouse and historic sites.

Perth highlights: Kings Park and Botanic Gardens, Elizabeth Quay waterfront and Perth Cultural Centre and local dining.

Day 3

Rottnest Island

Suggested Stay: Discovery Rottnest Island

Spend a night on Rottnest Island for a deeper experience. Enjoy sunset views, explore hidden beaches, and soak up the island’s relaxed vibes.

Must-do activities: Cycling around the island (bike hire available), Rottnest beaches & coves, spot quokkas for the ultimate photo op and Sunset at Geordie Bay.

Day 4-7

Margaret River Region

Travel: Pick up a rental car at Perth Airport

Drive south to Margaret River, Western Australia’s premier wine, food, and coastal destination. With four days in the region, there’s time to explore beaches, forests, caves, and world-class wineries.

Highlights: The Original Tour: a curated wine, gourmet food and brewery experience, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse & Augusta coastline, Explore stunning beaches like Prevelly and Surfers Point, Margaret River caves (Lake Cave, Jewel Cave) and Local art galleries, boutique shopping and gourmet cafés.

  • 6-night self-drive itinerary exploring Perth, Rottnest Island and the Margaret River region
  • Car hire throughout your trip (pick up and drop off in Perth)
