- AIR NEW ZEALAND -

Flexible Options for Affected Travel

For passengers with Air New Zealand tickets to or from Los Angeles until Monday, 13 January 2025, Air New Zealand has introduced the following flexible arrangements:

  1. Credit for Future Travel

    • If you choose not to travel, the full value of your unused ticket can be held as a credit. Credit must be used within 12 months of the original booking.

  2. Travel Earlier

    • If directly impacted by the fires, you can change your travel to an earlier flight within the fare’s permitted routing.

    • No penalties, service fees, or fare differences will apply for these changes.

Incidental Costs

Please note that any incidental costs, such as accommodation or meals, are the traveler’s responsibility.

  • Check your travel insurance policy to determine if incremental costs are covered. For non-refundable fares, refer to your insurer for guidance.

- UNITED AIRLINES -

Due to the Southern California wildfires, United Airlines is offering flexibility for travelers with flights scheduled between January 8, 2025, and January 11, 2025, to or from the following airports:

  • Burbank (BUR)

  • Los Angeles (LAX)

  • Ontario (ONT)

  • Orange County (SNA)

Eligibility:

  • Original tickets must have been purchased on or before January 7, 2025.

Options for Affected Travelers:

  1. Reschedule Your Trip

    • Change fees and fare differences are waived.

    • New flights must be with United Airlines, departing between January 7, 2025, and January 17, 2025.

    • Tickets must remain in the same cabin and between the same cities as originally booked or the following nearby airports:

      • Bakersfield (BFL), Palm Springs (PSP), San Diego (SAN), Santa Barbara (SBA), or Orange County (SNA).

Travelers are encouraged to check United Airlines for the latest updates and contact North Travel for assistance with rebooking or alternative arrangements.


- DELTA AIRLINES -

Delta Airlines is offering travel flexibility for flights impacted by the Southern California wildfires due to strong Santa Ana winds. Passengers are encouraged to monitor their flight status and subscribe to One-Time Notifications for real-time updates.

Rebooking Options:

  1. Travel on or Before January 15, 2025:

    • Fare differences will be waived if rebooked in the same cabin as originally booked.

    • If the original booking class is unavailable, a fare difference may apply.

  2. Travel After January 15, 2025:

    • Change fees will be waived, but fare differences may apply.

    • Final travel must be completed within one year of the original ticket issuance.

  3. Cancellation:

    • If travel cannot be rescheduled, passengers can cancel their reservation and apply the unused ticket value toward a new ticket purchase.

    • The new travel must be completed within one year of the original ticket issuance. Applicable fare differences will apply.

Conditions:

  • Tickets must have been issued on or before January 8, 2025.

  • Changes to origins and destinations may result in additional fare costs.
